Re: July pick-ups
Finally was able to get it closed on the Al Cowens glove. I think its from his Mariners years around 83-84, but he also used the same style with the Royals back in 1977-80. Hoping to research some more once I have it in hand. Heck, he may have used it for several years... Hopefully I will know more in a week or two.

Re: July pick-ups
Dan gets so many bad raps thrown his way by the haters. The other so-called leaders(neednt name names) in Laker game used stuff recieve all their inventory 3rd to 4th down the food chain, which all originated from Dan. And the stuff they get are just the scraps left over... ie/ game worn shoes of common players at bestLeave a comment:

Re: July pick-ups
I grabbed career baseball #1779 at the Cell Tuesday evening during Royals BP (Mike Moustakas BP home run). Still hoping to reach 1800 by season's end.

Re: July pick-ups
Minnesota Gophers early 90s Gophers helmet worn by star RB/FB Tony Carter. Tony went on to play HB for the Bears, Pats, Broncos, and Packers. The Gophers only used award decals for one season and this is the only known surviving example with award decals that I'm aware of. I've owned it for about 2 years after purchasing it from long time Gopher collector, U of M athletics volunteer, and friend Pete Chubb, but just had it shipped down to me from my partner's place in St. Paul.

Re: July pick-ups
They'll go under the bed in my Marion Barber game used equipment bag with my other 3 Barber gamers and the other 20 odd former Gophers jerseys I've picked up since my move to the beach last year. I've got zero room to display anything in my condo so will have to wait till I buy another house next year back in Minnesota, or Michigan, or wherever I wind up.Leave a comment:

Re: July pick-ups
Marion Barber 2009 game used jersey and shoes from 09 or 2010. Purchased from a source who bought them from the Cowboys team store. The jersey shows nice use as do the shoes. Two more fine additions to the former Gophers collection.

Re: July pick-ups
I just got the biggest and best pickup I'll probably ever have in my entire life:
All of these jerseys are signed, MLB authenticated, and unwashed!
Chipper Jones game worn 2011 jersey. I already photomatched this jersey to every home game in 2011 leading up to July 1st (this past friday). He wore this jersey for his 2,500th hit on Opening Day, as well as his 1,500th RBI in May, and a few homeruns as well.
Jair Jurrjens game worn 2011 jersey, worn while pitching a complete game one-hitter on July 1st, 2011.
Freddie Freeman game worn 2011 jersey. I love the dirt stains on the front on this one.
Jason Heyward game worn 2011 jersey
I'm still working on photomatches for every jersey besides the Chipper. I already know I'll have plenty of matches for each one since I can use my own photos for photomatching
