Well after a self imposed exile from the forum (and an always inspirational conversation with aeneas01) I am happy to return and see a new clear shell thread plus a few new members! Ray, I am glad you made it here but I think that Michigan repo helmet was actually one of mine : )
Also, a big thanks for the links from 'gridiron heros' on post #26 and BTW, I have an ISU Mac but not sure if is the same one in the photos aeneas01 posted as they are now removed.

Ray -nice work. I have the paint release problem only on the Detroit Wheels helmet.

What would restoring it - do to the value?

From my experence that paint issue cant be restored. Its a common problem with clear shells, and i have not come up with a way to fix it .Some one else may have , but i have never seen it done. You have a beautiful helmet Sorry i could not help. Ray
