I think it could very well be a 1 too.

The only thing I can think of is he incorrectly labeled it before he put it up for auction for his foundation, which is where it originally made its way into the hobby.

Derek Jeter tied Lou Gehrig for the most hits at Yankee Stadium (1,269) with a home run off Tampa Bay Rays pitcher David Price on September 14, 2008. This is second base from that game.

This is the scorecard Yankee announcer John Sterling used during Game 2 of the 2007 ALDS. This is famous for Joba Chamberlain blowing the save when he was swarmed by midges in the 8th inning. He walked two and threw two wild pitches. The bugs showed up for that half inning only, and the Yankees lost in 11 innings. It is also signed by Joba.

How about Earl Cooper's 1981 SB game worn jersey, where he caught Joe Montana's first post season TD?

Funny thing is that at one point I was going to trade this jersey to another 49er collector. I was at his house and he commented on how nice the jersey looked due to all the spilled beer stains on it from the post game celebration. The team wore new jerseys for the SB so the shirt does not show tons of use but the comment about the stains made me want to keep it!

I told him that I just could not make the trade and he understood completely. I ended up buying a 1993 Steve Young gamer with team letter from him instead.

Always buying 49ers (yes the 5-1 49ers!!!!!) gamers and paying a finders fee.

These are historical as in "old" but I posted a 1942 Pirates flannel in the "Show me your Pittsburgh Pirates items" thread and a circa 1950 Steelers jersey in the "Show me your NFL stuff" thread.

I have a baseball from the game that Dbacks clinched their first World Series berth by winning, a baseball from the final playoff game ever played at Shea Stadium and Von Miller's first jersey.
