Funny, that game is on MASN right now. Cal Ripken Jr. just took a 98 mph fastball to the helmet.

Without having one of each in front of you, it is very difficult. The gamers are actually a heavier weight jersey. All of my 1999 gamers are thicker and heavier than the retail versions. I have to admit, this is a VERY subtle difference. Everything else appears to be the same.Leave a comment:

Since these don't appear to have the 100% polyester flags attached of the Russell tag, or any other customizations, how can you tell the retail from the gamers apart? Not an anyway saying that those on here that are claimed gamers aren't, just trying to learn more about these.Leave a comment:

Re: Did anyone on the forum ever buy the Turn Ahead the Clock unis?
I have been looking to purchase a Twins retail jersey for a long time. There have been 2 that have come up in the last few months but each time I am not able to place a bid on eBay right before close (either forget or have something else that I must do). It's been killing me, since I just want to have one for my collection; I loved these things back when they came out, I was 15... so that explains the fascination.Leave a comment:

Final 3 for now (have a few more but they are in storage).
Pittsburgh Pirates - retail authentic.
Customized w/ Brian Giles # 24
Only one of its kind where 2 digit back numbers were 1 on top of the other
Chicago White Sox - retail authentic.
Customized w/ Frank Thomas # 35
St. Louis Cardinals - retail authentic.
Customized w/ Mark McGwire # 25
Very nice futuristic twist on the 'birds on bat' logo; they're robotic!Leave a comment:

The other 2 gamers:
1999 Mark Kotsay # 7 - Florida Marlins
1999 Jerry Hairston, Jr. # 15 - Baltimore Orioles
The best part about this one is the sewn on logo; this might be the only 1999 TATC (and there are 25 of them) to have this.Leave a comment:

Milwaukee Brewers; retail authentic. Customized as Dave Nilsson # 14.
Note this is the correct font for the letters and numbers but the color scheme might be slightly off. I have only seen the back of 1 TATC Brewers jersey before and was not fortunate enough to capture the photos.Leave a comment:

Next batch... this group features the two styles that have logos which "wrap around" the back...
Arizona Diamondbacks - retail authentic;
customized with Luis Gonzalez # 20
Detroit Tigers - retail authentic (blue style -- this was the style to be worn in the game vs. the Red Sox that did not happen);
customized with Tony Clark # 17 (the NOB/number font was a best guess).
Boston Red Sox - retail authentic (this was the style to be worn in the game vs. the Tigers that did not happen);
customized with Pedro Martinez # 45 (the NOB/number font was a best guess).Leave a comment:
