Is this an authentic Mays GU Bat?

A member of another forum wanted to ask about this but doesnt have an account, so I am posting for him.
These are the scans. The background info is hazy as he bought the bat from friends of his family.










Any ideas or information would be appreciated by the current owner.

That bat appears to be a 65-69 labeled bat. Mays ordered s2 in 34.5 and 35 inches with the majority 35 inches and between 33 and 35 ounces. The tar application looks like how Mays applied it. That looks like a very nice Mays gamer and I personally would have Taube or Mears check that bad boy out. Looks sweet!
