It was fall of 2000. I have a baseball from Rick Ankiel's last game as a pitcher authenticated in October of 2000.

Hologram number GR000123 was located in the MLB Authentication Database under BALLS.

Session Name: 2000 NLCS GAME 2 - CARDINALS VS. METS
    Session Date: October 12, 2000
    Autographer:
    Authenticator: AUTHENTICATORS, INC.
    Additional Information: GAME USED BALL

Sometimes right away and sometimes never. I've had items where they must have lost the data and never put information up for the hologram number.

Does anyone know how long it takes, once an item is collected and authenticated, until it shows up in their database? There's an item I've been searching and it keeps saying item not found.

Nevermind! Found it on the MLB Auth. site - it's 2001. They used some weird descriptions back then. I have a couple of baseballs that say something like "Baseball Blitz," the date and the teams that played. Glad they started started adding details.

Anyone know? I have some from 2001, but none earlier. Thanks.
