yes the black streak which is a rack mark. the placement of the streak mark next to the bare spot, are too similar , i know it's grainy but considering out of 27 games, how many other bats have those 2 marks in the same place? maybe i can't say it's 100 just because the grainy is not 100 accurate, but i would say it's at least 75%. if it was out of season where he played in 100 + games i would put it to rest, but out of 27 games, and the way he used bats, the pine tar patterns and the suggested use from the barrel would indicate this saw ALOT of use.
seems that everything circumstantial is on track. i cannot discount all the evidence you bring up that all are in synch with your bat. i think its a great bat and cannot eliminate your bat being the bat in the video.

gvotg the 94 ultra card in the mail. Im pretty sure he is using my bat in the picture on the card.
The picture is definately from Fenway Park during a day game,
Mac played in 1 Day Game in 93' Against Boston. He hit 2HRs in the Game.
Im posting cause after closer look on the card , i feel i have found the match that will satisfy the authorities.
towards the middle of the barrell, there is a patch of dots of pine tar. Across from the patch are rack marks. Where the marks are now on the bat is the signature but that is the vacinity of the long rack marks. I feel the patch of pine tar matches up perfectly. Let me know what you guys think
THIS IS INDEED THE BAT PICTURED ON THE CARD. And if the trend was right in 94 of using cards from 93, then that is mcgwire on may 6th during the only day game he played in boston that year, it is the may 6th game in which he hit 2 HR's. So yes. This bat is in fact a HR bat.
Look at the rack mark next to Adirondack. It is pictured on the card and on my bat. 100% match. the mark on the bat is dark. Making it dark enough to stand out on the card once the image was blown up.
I can now stop obsessing /scrutinizing it.
Thanks for the help guys. You guys were right. I needed
A definitive mark to be 100% sure.
The rack mark next to the adirondack label
Has killed all possibilities of this bat not being the one on the card.
Along with the pine tar matches from The May 3rd game at Yankee Stadium and
With the now confirmed Match of the card , if this picture is from 93' which has always been the way card company's do it by using the previous years pictures ,
Then this bat was indeed used for 93 ' season HR's #'s 4-5-6-7 which were hit
On May 3rd, and on May 6th 1993.
Sorry for constantly putting this thread at the top. Bug this is a huge addition for me as it doesn't come round often when you can say you own a bat in which you were at a game in which your favorite player used it, as I was in Attendance on
May 4,1993 which is the game after he hit the first 2 known HR's with the bat.
