They're OK. Don't really like the style of the "M" on the hats. Being from and living in Miami I can tell they really went for the colorful edge as that's very "Miami-ish"-Randy

"It's about Miami," Loria said. "It's the coolest place ever. Miami has a certain flavor."
Unfortunately, it's not the flavor of baseball. This is a game with a 150 year history. It's not jai-alai.
Want to create a timeless team logo? Look backwards. Think Tigers, Cubs, Cardinals, Red Sox.
Want to create a new ballpark that stands the test of time? Look backwards. Think Camden Yards, PNC, Busch, AT&T Park.
But when ego trumps history, and an owner considers himself important enough to overthrow tradition, you get the Miami Marlins uniform and stadium, which will stand the test of time about as well as the 1980's Houston Astros uniforms and the Astrodome.
A flashy logo won't help a team that finished 30 games out. Loria thinks he can buy the NL East by throwing money against the wall. I see this ending very badly for the Marlins.
The whole thing is an instant replay of Loria's ownership tenure with the Montreal Expos. Look how that turned out.Comment

Miami Marlins. Should've used that name from the start. Didn't Miami win the World Series in the Future in Back to the Future 2 ?Comment

Love 'em....think they'll fit in quite nicely in Miami!!!!"We need rebirth of the American tradition of leadership ... in private life as well." "'Trust me' government asks that we concentrate our hopes and dreams on one man; that we trust him to do what's best for us. My view of government places trust not in one person or one party, but in those values that transcend persons and parties. The trust is where it belongs--in the people." - Ronald Reagan"
