I wasn't able to get my pre-order in on any of the Corey Hart stuff. Did anyone here pick anything up that they'd be willing to part with? Nameplate or jerseys, no bats please.

I picked up a Red/White/Blue Brewers game used Mat Gamel 2011 hat. Lots of high priced items there again this year.

Any photos of the items folks purchased?

There was nothing in that range Saturday morning, except for a couple of green St. Pat's hats. The prices across the board were way out of whack. For example, $200 got you either Suppan or Brad Nelson. There wasn't any descernible reason for the prices that were charged.

Best thing I saw at the $100 level was a Dale Sveum BP.

Lots of Prince's pink bats at $350, but no MLB holo on any. Braun home for $2,700, Prince All-Star $2,000, Zach Greinke Pat's hat $150, CC Sabathia retro BP $700, a #52 not attributable to CC only $400.

It was a real disappointment on Saturday. Don't know about Friday.

That Braun is pretty steep. While Braun is an awesome player, I don't see him being nearly $3,000 awesome. Though I could see someone paying $2,000 for the Prince jersey, if there were solid ASG provenance. But with those kinds of prices, they are pricing many of us out.

That's the problem with the Brewers they mark their game used items way over market value. You won't get anything cheap from them. It's hard for the average fan to buy anything game used from their favorite Brewers player.

Not to mention: The Braun white home jersey never saw game action (he did not play July 4-10 when the All-Star "stars" jerseys were put into regular season play NOR did he play in the actual All-Star Game itself due to injury).

Plus, the Fielder pinstripe "stars" jersey was only worn July 6-8. NOT in the actual A.S. Game (wore home white for All Star Game).

I've said all along...we have to keep this in perspective. It's simple supply and demand.
I openly admit I am willing to "slightly overpay" for some Braun stuff. But, the prices I have seen so far have shut me down a bit.

Yeah, that's kind of troubling. Maybe MEARS can buy the Braun Jersey and then some how flip it for $4,000 lol.

Renee Krebs, the Brewers game used specialist, was there working the table with the high priced stuff (Braun, Fielder, Morgan, Hoffmann jerseys) on Saturday. I told her diplomatically that there didn't seem to be any logical price sturcture. She seemed puzzled, so I gave her some examples. For example, McGehee and Jody Gerut each had a $200 price tag. Her response seemed, and I stress, seemed to be "Well, make me an offer."

I asked if they were going to offer a 25 pecent discount like they did last December. She said she have to talk with someone about that. I left at that point.

The only items that were priced at the $1 to $25 level were nameplates, modern to late 90s.
