    Rather unique are the 1982-83 White Sox All-Star game patches. I can't provide a close-up of a genuine version, but the red and unbordered examples on eBay right now are all replicas.

    Anyway, being the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the first All-Star game (held in the original Comiskey Park in 1933), the Sox not only wore the patch all of 1983, but for the final 3 months or so of 1982, after the '82 event, as shown on this 1983 Topps card of Sparky Lyle, a late-season pickup for the Chisox in 1982.

    It's one of mine, albeit only a minor league jersey. The patch is especially cool because it is so thick and nothing like modern patches.
