I emailed the Dallas Cowboys Equipment Manager Mike McCord recently about the number of blue jerseys the Cowboys wear during the season and this was his reply

"As far as the blue jerseys are concerned, we generally order 2 jerseys for each player, however they normally only wear one for the limited games that we wear blue jerseys during the season."

Anyway, I just wanted to post that info for you guys in case you own any Cowboy blues. I will repost this returned email in a different thread as well since it sounds pretty helpful to everyone.

Is there any wear on the back of the jersey. Something more to help
identify which game. Plus does it still smell of the sweat from Witten.
I have a strong feeling it may have been washed and is from the 11-5-06
game against the Redskins.
There is a pic on Google under "jason witten vs washington 2007" page 15.
He's sliding with a defender right behind him. Lower part of the 8 is a yellow stain in the same place as yours is but brighter. Thats why i suggested it being washed.

It has definitely been washed by the Cowboys and does have a few stains. Since they are only issued 2 blues in a season and one is a backup jersey it is going to make it that much more difficult to find an exact photomatch. The Steiner COA just states worn during the 2007 season. The blue jerseys were worn last in 2007 against the Redskins which may explain the reddish and black stickum on the 8. Im thinking if it was worn and washed during the season the Redskins game is going to be my best bet. The sweat smell is not
there but I think he only had a few catches and it rained the whole game. Looks like I will probably have to find a video of that game somewhere to get a match.
