Well here are some more pictures. I will try and take more in the daylight to help with the flash. They don't show what I can really see. The helmet does show that it was used and has a slight batting glove imprint on top. I checked again on the hologram number and MLB change the discription on the hologram number to a ryan braun game issued helmet dated Nov. 9th 2011. So I have no idea what to think. Do I ask for my money back because they told me it was game used and its just issued and is a mystery and they probally wont give my money back. Do I sell it? I was so happy to get it becuase of the cool style and is was different and game used.

      All things considered:
Very difficult to ascertain any All-Star Game usage.
The only way I see any resolution to this mystery is to ask the man himself...

If the authenticator didn't see Braun actually take the helmet off his head himself, then they're pretty much forced to put it in the database as game issued. A lot of teams do this. Recently the Braves sent out 2 seperate jerseys lists; 1 with holo'd jerseys to specific games and the second for jerseys that were holo'd as team issued because the authenticator wasn't present when they were taken off. Some of the jerseys showed use, while others looked brand new.

If you bought it from the team and it shows use then I don't doubt any bit that it's game used. But if it is from the All Star Game, I'd assume there would be atleast some visible outline of the decal that was on the back of the helmet, or maybe a little stickiness, or just anything really that could show that a decal was there at one point.

Just remember that just because the helmet shows use does not mean that it came from an actual game. I once bought a relief pitcher's helmet that showed good use; only thing was that he never had a plate appearance with that team.

Just watched MLB.tv for his all star at bats. The helmet matches everything but the all-star stickers. Jamie(banned from GUU) has sent me about 15 emails trying to tell me that this is not the one because of the air vent on top and the stickers. Well if you watch his at bat he does tilt his head and show the vent. All the holes line up even their is small white that comes through on either side of the padding that matches. That still doesnt prove anything really. Would the brewers remove the all-star stickers and put the brewers ones? Thats the next part of my weekend watching MLB.tv to see if braun has this kind of helmet in a regular season game.

Could you take screen shots to prove that this is a photomatch?

I watched a lot of MLB.tv this weekend and didnt see Braun wear this helmet style at all except in 2010 in the all star game. Without closer pictures and no matching decals I will have to say this is not the all star helmet and probably never saw game use by Braun.
