As a fellow Braves fan and a friend Kyle, I can honestly say your job was garnered by skill and accomplishment and so richly deserved. With any luck the Braves will see you as so many of us here on GUU do, the next Walter Iooss Jr.

Skill+dedication+abiiity=dream job. You earned it and I hope that one day you replace the guy in Atlanta who used to hassle you.

this is awesome. Something I should look into for the Potomac Nationals (my closest minor league team).

I knew the Triple-A team hires interns every year so I e-mailed the media relations manager before they even started posting about it on their website, so they called me in for an interview and I showed them my best work which got me the job.

I never shot football before but from what I've seen, the NFL photographers always need reallyyyy good lenses, such as a 500mm f/4, 600mm f/4, etc., so it's definitely something you'd have to invest in a lot. You need more focal length in your lenses since you're pretty far from the action, unlike what you see in MLB where you're up close for most of the action. Also I notice most NFL photographers are Canon users, and I see a lot of 5D Mark II's being used. I don't know too much about Canon, but that's definitely a great camera to use for sports photographers that shoot Canon.
