Even though none of the equipment is from players or teams that I collect, would it be worth to pick up any of the bats or cleats? I'm interested in any and all opinions. My mom is a 30 year breast cancer survivor and I think anything would be a great reminder of how lucky I am.

Man too bad the money raised is going to such a horrible "charity". Every time I go to bid on an item and I see where the money is going I cancel my bid. When are these leagues going to do their due diligence on these "charities" they donate to?

Anyone want to let the cat out of the bag and say what they'll be bidding on or hoping to win in the Mother's Day auction?

Also the bat in the in listing for Andrew McCutchen is Casey McGehee's, with all of McGehee's characteristics. Did anyone see the Pirates Mother's Day game and can say if Cutch grabbed McGehee's gamer and used it for an at bat? The MLB hologram description does just say it's a LVS R221 used by McCutchen.

Here are pictures of McCutchen's at bats,no pine tar or Casey McGehee tape job so it doesn't appear he used Casey McGehee's bat during the game!

Chuck, thank you very much for looking into that and posting pictures! The the time, effort and help is greatly appreciated.

I guess this is another situation of bidder beware...or at least aware.

I sent an email the other day to MLB regarding the listing being pictured with the Casey McGehee bat. I don't expect a reply but if I do get one I'll be sure to update everyone. I suppose it could just be an error with the wrong picture being listed but it makes me leary since the hologram also references a LVS R221. After all the 2011 Mark Teahan, while it does show a Teahan bat, also has a pic of Asdrubal Cabrera's 2011 pink gamer.

Prices are crazy, specially $495 plus for cleats of a overrated player.

Just think if Harper ever becomes a bust, that almost 4K bat won't be worth more than $200. lol

I won the Zobrist, broke into two pieces, bat!

Will make a nice addition to the 2008 Bartlett pink bat I have tha is broke into two pieces.

FYI, for those bidding on the Salty Red Sox bat listed as used during the game on May 13th, I believe a review of the game on MLBTV for that day shows that he did not use a pink bat that day.

grabbed the Paul Goldschmidt Evo shield at the last minute. Will go well with the bat of his I picked up at auction a few weeks ago. What was the deal with the Ryan Roberts bat??? I've spent a few bucks on his stuff but over $500 for that bat? I paid $185 for his pink cleats last year, He's not having the best year and lost his starting job. Something significant happen during that game that I missed?
