2012 Majestic Laundry Tag Change

My buddy acquired four Cardinals spring training jerseys this week. I saw them today and noticed the laundry tag code has changed. The knit jersey was 0620 (not 0062) and the Cool Base jerseys were 0630 (not 0063). Anybody else notice the same change on 2012 jerseys you've acquired?

Yeah - I've got a couple Cubs Castro jerseys that have that new code.

With the Astros the 0630 code started in 2011. I have two 2011 MLB authenticated Astros pinstripe jerseys with that code and have seen one other. Earlier this month I had asked Mike Acosta about the code and he was unaware of it till I brought it up.

I've seen five Cardinals Cool Base tags from 2011 -- from spring training to Nick Punto's WS jersey -- and they're all 0063. Just curious... what is the code number below the 0630 on your 2011 Astros jerseys?

Hi Jeff,

I have 24 2011 Astros jerseys and all but two have the 0063 code. I have seen at least fifty other 2011 Astros jerseys and only one of them had the 0630 code. The code number below the 0630 on the jerseys I have are 3410VW (Lucas Harrell) & 3178VW (Carlos Corporan)

Thanks, Scott. The codes under the 0630 and 0620 apparently also have changed. Before, the first two digits always seemed to be between 01 and 12 -- I've assumed those digits corresponded with the month of manufacture. But, now we're seeing 34 and 31 and 37. Clearly not months. Hmm...

My 2011 Astros jerseys seem to mostly have 0063A, 0063R, and 0063H codes. This correspinds to Alternate, Road, and Home. All of the 2012 jerseys I have the 0630 codes. The 1963 Colt 45s TBTC the clock has 62TB on the tag. Also, all 2012 Astros jerseys have a "2012" flag tag.

I have a 2012 Detroit Tigers cool base game-used away joaquin benoit jersey from mothers day. It also has the new 0630 tagging. I didn't even notice it until I seen this thread and went and checked.
