really? i thought it was the other way around... i have a kareem tagged 87... the piping style matches to pics during 86-87 season (1st yr sand knit with lakers).... the lakers, i believe, moved to the more thicker piping the following year.,

Here is my 1989-90 Jay Vincent, only season he played, with tagging matching your Johnson.

Gauging the authenticity of a shirt based solely on crispness and sharpness of tagging is not accurate IMO. .. that may be one of the value of the sum but definetly NOT the sum. pictured is magic tagging next to a beat to hell 87/88 common... IMO the tagging has just about the same amount of sharp corners and crispness.

This warm-up is from the 89-90 season. The Orlando Magic weren't a team in the 88-89 season.

Funny how things fall into your lap... last week i was gonna post in the thread "do you think you will ever find your grail?"... as given up.. grail dream is gone. i basically given up ..been chasing that for years.. then last saturday a member here sends me a pic of a SK magic (not the same shirt),, i forward it to someone for opinion.. come this saturday i have Dick's Magic in the pacific northwest.

Last time I talked to him he said GFC had brokered the sale of his collection to an individual and that GFC had acquired his website.

He had some nice gear and took the time to create a site and share pics. Would always answer questions too.
