Starlin Castro black LVS - cracked 6/23/12 @ D-Backs in 1st inning on a single (4-hit game). Used at least back to 6/18 game at CWS when he went 3-5 with a HR that put a sweet deep impression/leather transfer on the bat!

Sitting on a plane heading home so I figure I'd post. No pics as I didn't take any last night and my friend is holding onto the items so I didn't have to check anything to get home but I scored a few items the last two days

Baseball used during Dallas Braden's perfect game,signed by Dallas
Pair of Ryan Cook gu cleats autographed
Yoenis Cespedes gu bat autographed

Then today before heading to airport I got from the new GU store Yoenis Cespedes jersey from the Japan series. Now I need to try and photo match it. Not only his first MLB jersey but also his frit MLB HR.

Also bought the lineup card from the June 8th game vs the Dbacks in AZ, I have the Dbacks lineup card for that game already so now I have both.

I will see if I can get a list ahead of time, I spoke with Amanda last night about it but she is continuing her auction of gu items from around the league on MLB.com. Look for the auctions to start up next week. There will be items from the Giants, Red Sox and Rangers definitely among other things. Like I said I'm working on getting a list so we can preview it here.

Not very big (though the cabinets they use are awesome and I'd love a couple for my game room when I finally get around to putting it together)

Needs more advertsing and a better location IMO. However that being said, they've got some nice stuff and they are going in the right direction. The "store" is less than a week old.

Picked up this Delmarva Shorebirds vs. West Virginia Power lineup card. Significant because it's from the day Jim Thome was traded to the O's and Shorebird catcher Gabriel Lino was on the bench that bay but was traded before game time and subsequently blacked out on the card.

I have decided to steer the focus of my collection to solely on game worn flannels. Here is my first one, and it is precisely the style I wanted to start with.

1970 Doug Rader Houston Astros “Shooting Star” Game Worn Flannel Jersey

A couple interesting and historical facts about Rader and this jersey – Arguably the best 3rd baseman in franchise history, “The Red Rooster” had one of his best offensive seasons in 1970, establishing a career high in home runs. Rader also won his 1st of 5 consecutive Gold Gloves in 1970 (1970-74). In addition, Rader’s Gold Glove in 1970 was the first Gold Glove won by a Houston player in franchise history (Colt .45s or Astros).

The jersey is all-original and unaltered. “ASTROS” and the shooting star logo are chenille stitched across the front in orange, navy, and white. The 12 on back is made of double layer orange and navy felt, which shows good use. There are 6 ventilation holes underneath each arm.

Thrilled to own this jersey!
