2000 Pedro Martinez glove

From a great Cy Young season, going 18-6 with 1.74 ERA in the middle of the steroid era. It has heavy use, especially for being a pitcher's glove. There is hand written religious message on the Rawlings tag as well. The glove is also shown on an '01 UD card of Martinez.

Grabbed baseball #1790 in the opening moments of BP at last Friday's White Sox/Red Sox game. Embarrassingly, I lost my balance and fell as I reached to grab the ball. I hurt my hip (much better now), and was offered help and concern by nearby fans and security people. Had that happened at Wrigley Field, around Ballhawks or even most fans, I would have been ignored, the Ballhawk/Fan would have snatched the ball out from under me and then pranced away merrily, acting as if they had just accomplished something. Just one more reason to spend most of ticket money on the South Side.

My newest addition … the road jersey worn by James Shields on opening day, April 1st, 2013 when my Royals took on the White Sox. The jersey includes the Newtown memorial patch.

Sweet jersey of Shields. I was at that game. We drove from KC to Chicago for it.

Yeah, it was made for the Fenway 100 celebration last year. The bats I believe were made for just that one game.
