Re: What is your "WHITE WHALE"...
I have been looking for these 2 jerseys for almost 30 years. Finally purchased both of them this past weekend. A 1989 Cleveland Indians #45 game worn jersey of Brad Komminsk and his 1983 Atlanta Braves #7 game worn jersey. Thanks to Howard Wolf for letting me purchase the Indians jersey!Leave a comment:

Re: What is your "WHITE WHALE"...
I actually acquired two of my white whales recently: a Seattle Seahawks Kenny Easley game used jersey from the 1985 season, and a game used Superbowl 48 football (and yes the laces did have a dye that lit up under black light).
I suppose the one piece that I would consider a White whale would be a Largent Gamer from the 80s.Leave a comment:

Re: What is your "WHITE WHALE"...
This is going to sound kind of silly, but I have been actively looking for a Carlos Guillen game used Road Tigers jersey since he retired six years ago. I was in on the bidding for the World Series jersey that came up in a Goldin Auction three years ago, but it got out of my price range. I have not seen one road jersey come up for sale/auction in that time period, aside from the aforementioned WS jersey.

Re: What is your "WHITE WHALE"...
Mine would be late 1960s-early 70s Supersonics jerseys. Super rare and the few that pop up go for a ton. I've never seen any of the inaugural style jerseys even pop up for auction but I know a couple private collectors that have some.Leave a comment:
