Buster Posey Bat Help

Recently picked up this bat and hoping for some insight and opinions (and hoping I didn't get scammed)... Should I get this authenticated by PSA/DNA? Not really looking to move it... but wanted to make sure it's not a fake.. and if it is... get my money back

Just a few notes.. and correct me if I am wrong
1) there is a light coat of pine tar that looks consistent with where Posey typically has his.
2) there seems to be bat weight impression on the bat that looks consistent with Posey's bat weight length

Let me know your thoughts!

Honestly I would get my money back thats one of the worst forged Posey autos I have seen!!!! Im sure I can forge a better auto than that how much did you pay?? Looks nothing like a authentic signature I will post a legit Posey auto in a few minutes.

I have a few legit Posey autographs so I know what they look like but don't think you can judge the bat solely on the autograph as autographs don't always look the same

I don't collect Posey, but that signature looks off. You do have a Posey issued bat. It looks like it shows light use ... but with the signature I wouldn't think you have more than an issued bat. The use may be from Posey (BP?) or it could be faked. If you paid a price that would justify an issued bat, you didn't do too bad. If you paid a full price for a Posey gamer, I'd probably try to get your money back.

I saw this bat on ebay and the first thing I noticed was the bad autograph, it's way off from his real autograph.

The bat looks ok but the fake auto kills it for me.

Told you auto was no good! Bat is game issued, but I'm sure it was just made to look game used. I'm sure someone used it and forged the auto to make it look like a game used auto Posey bat. I don't know who would actually forge a signature on a actual Posey game used bat only for it to come out so obvious that it's forged. So overall my opinion is that seller or whoever did this just purchased a game issued Posey bat and beat it up so it looks game used. Are there any ball marks on bat? I'm sure everyone who's looking at this post agrees its a fake Posey game used bat. I would contact PayPal for a refund as you purchased a fake. I would feel horrible if I paid for that bat hope it all works out for you. Goodluck.

I agree with the others; the autograph is way off. The one good thing I can tell you about the bat is that it is definitely game issued. However, it lacks other markings for it to be game used.

I'm no expert and that's just my .03 cents.
