Our family collection is focused on Joey Votto "hit" balls and collecting has been good of late. August presented a couple 1sts for us and one was the new style MLB hologram.

Below is the ball from Joey Votto’s 955th career hit, a one-hop laser pulled to the right field wall on his Bobblehead Night. The ball remained in play for five more pitches until fouled into the dirt toward the Reds dugout and batboy Ted Kremer. The Reds defeated the A’s, 3-1.

This is the new jersey technology that MLB will use in 2014 spring training and for the BP jerseys next year.

Nothing huge but i went to the Wilmington Blue Rocks, Royals High A vs. the Hillcats, Braves, game yesterday. Got the 3rd inning 3rd out ball, a flyout to left, and i also got the 4th inning 3rd out ball, a strike out dropped by catcher but then made the throw in time.

Went to the perfect game all American home run derby. Got future top 10 draft pick alex Jackson to sign a ball from the derby and the winner Michael Chavis signed one as well. Inscriptions from both. Also bumped into Trevor Hoffman there and had him sign an extra minor league ball I brought.
