Re: Show Me Your Indianapolis Colts Game Worn Stuff....
cant seem to decrease the file size on the online pic which is more direct. anyways.
sorry but i respectfully disagree. i see what youre saying but remember that youre looking at a curved surface taken at different camara angles for both the photographer and me. which distorts decals etc. thanks for your opinions.

Re: Show Me Your Indianapolis Colts Game Worn Stuff....
Hi, From a Photomatching stand point based on the pictures provided thus far… I would say that this helmet was not worn in the games of the pics that were posted. Right off the bat you can see that the "1" on the rear of the helmet itself is further to the left off of the center stripe- this then throws the other two decals too far out of whack (too far to the left) as well.
In the actual game photos, you can clearly see that the nfl shield and the memorial decal are positioned on the helmet to where they are fitted INSIDE of the rear bumper… On the helmet itself, they are positioned on the edge or actually OUTSIDE of the rear bumper…
IN MY OPINION, based on the photos provided, this IS CLEARLY NOT the helmet on Peyton's head in the pictures…Leave a comment:

The more photos you can find, the better. Especially if you can find game photos that show the back of the helmet in detail so you can zoom in and compare the decals.Leave a comment:

Oh, rko18, there's a closeup of the back of the helmet when he's speaking to Brady post game.Leave a comment:

Have a closeup of the back and thoroughly convinced based on the various decal placements. ESP where the riddel is under the colt sticker.
Rko18, thanks for the input and pics.
..oh, and Peyton signed a letter stating it was worn during either preseason or the season of 2003. So granted/given 2003, the "PK" places it in the post season at least.Leave a comment:

Ok, here's my GU Peyton Manning helmet from the 2004 season. Have all the coa and from Mr. Manning himself.
This is Riddell "revolution" model which can clearly be seen under the colt sticker. It has the American flag sticker and the "P.K." black cross memorial decal for Father Patrick Kelly who was the team chaplain. It was used in their 3 playoff games that season.
RKO18 says that he has yet to see a photo matched helmet. I would like his and others thought.
Manning also played in the Pro Bowl on February 4th, 2004 and may have taken the same helmet with him. I cannot photo match your helmet without better quality photos.
Look for identifying marks of use, compare the decal placements, chin strap, etc. It's tougher to find good photos from ten years ago but they are out there.
