    Re: Robinson Cano thread

I think what happened with Pujols could be an indicator of what might happen with Cano. Similar situations (superstar, beloved player on an iconic team spurns his fans for west coast and $240M/10 yr. contract, gets replaced by Beltran). Pujols' items took an immediate hit when he left St. Louis for LA -- not severe, but noticeable. Then he played poorly in LA and values dropped even more. Bats that were $3K two years ago can be had for half that much today. Much depends on how Cano does in Seattle. If he puts up MVP numbers, the value decline might not be as great (I hope he does -- he's one of my fantasy keepers, too). But, there definitely will be a drop in values.

his #'s will surely take a hit, which will lead to nosediving prices, imo. it might not happen overnight, but i think that it will happen

no more short porch and no more lineup protection (at least for the foreseeable future).

Cano's numbers will drop playing at Safeco no doubt. At least his power numbers. No matter how much they move that fence in it is just the way it is in the moist Seattle air.

Home and away splits for 2013 are interesting, just 11 of 27 Cano's home runs were at Yankee stadium, was not expecting that. Also, read that Cano has the highest lifetime BA at Safeco Field besides for Ichiro, min 150 at bats.

His stuff began selling at insane prices. If everything works out perfect the rest of the way, he may reach 3,000 and 500, maybe, but nothing to justify $3k-$5k bat values especially with possibly 10 more years worth of inventory available to the market.
He will need to do something spectacular i.e. batting .400 or Triple Crown for his bats to even get back to $2k. I'm assuming you'll be able to get your hands on his gamers for under $1k for the next 7-8 yrs until he starts approaching some milestones.

He needs to avg about 150 hits for the next 9 yrs(went until he's 40).

Then, in those yrs he would have to avg a little over 30 hr's each yr for 500. Both will be tough but I think 3,000 is more realistic.

I posted this on the other Cano thread. So much crap is coming out about the Mariners front office.

                        Re: Robinson Cano thread

I too picked up various Cano items with no intent to profit from them. But Robbie really disappointed me and other Yankee fans.
I know I won't get close to those Yankee premium prices.
But, selling a few nice bats (all signed). 2008 HR bat and a 2010 hammered SSK bat with MLB auth hologram. Heck I even have a photomatched 2005 Rawlings with Elite Cano signed LOA.
Also a 2012 road game used jersey and pants. Steiner and MLB auth. Jersey has been photomatched to 9/30/12. Cano had hits in this game.
Any reasonable offer will be considered.

Feel free to e-mail if interested.

                        Thanks,
                        Pablo
