I text Chris the real name of the bidder who placed a certain bid
he texts back with his GUU user name
I email the guy to tell him he won and post the user id

if at any time the bid (say 500th) was NOT a GUU member, then I pick the next closest. So far that has not been needed to be done, and unlikely since this is a 'sneak preview' event and our site home page does not state auction is open yet

BTW, we are about 200 away from 1000, will be interesting to see if its hit

Could you text me when it is one away?

Hope I get to use the $500 off. I have been outbid on everything so far.
I wish all of you would take it easy on the Pujols, Jones, Brett, and Maddux items. The escalation in bidding is making my head swim.

I also thank Ken and Chris for extending the auction until April 25. April 15 is a really bad day for most of us and we need time to replenish our penny jars.

Unless you hear otherwise, I would assume something similar will be done for GUU members when Goldin opens future auctions as well. Ken is very appreciative of the GUU community and he has been great at doing things for GUU members.

He has thats for sure. His interactions have been welcoming and a breath of fresh air. Nice to know Ken is always willing to listen and is always available to answer questions.

I have my eye on a few items and hope to at least win one for my collection.

how do you become eligible for the contest and how can you put bids on stuff if the site says the auctions haven't started yet?

I haven't been a GUU member very long so I'm not familiar with this.
