I picked up Arismendy Alcantara's game used fielders glove from 2013 with the Tennessee Smokies. I love all the dried up infield dirt still stuck on the glove.

That is an awesome pick up! Did you get that glove from a private party or from the Smokies' authentics?

I posted this as well in my Longo collection thread but hoping for some extra help in case more people read this one...

...The hologram number is HZ-048024 but is listed as game-issued even though it shows use...it's authenticated to April 3, 2014 the night that Longo tied the Rays franchise record with his 163rd career HR in the 7th inning...

...I've been trying to photomatch but it's tough because it doesn't show a TON of use (it was the 3rd game of the season) and I just got to open it this morning so I can't access MLB.TV until I get home...these aren't the best pics bc they are from my Iphone and there are nothing but really bright lights in my building so the glares are bad and you can't really see the tiny scratches and wear on the helmet....there's a couple of spots that might help including the tiny yellow splotches on the back half of the helmet and a few smudges above the "B" on the front of the helmet...ANY HELP PHOTOMATCHING WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

I don't know if they have an authentics program, I was just curious. Very nice piece though from a great sleeper prospect.

It doesn't look damaged or cracked so I would check to see if you can find some spring training shots...those helmets are expensive and players had 1-2 in most cases last year. Wouldn't make any sense to retire one after 3 games and not get it authenticated as game used.

I take my comment back after searching the database. Everything near that authentication number is from the game so I guess it very well could be from that game.

There must be something wrong with it cause I didn't see any other helmets authenticated that day.

Great Xander pickups... But what is the blue alt tagged as? I don't think the Sox wore them at all during the postseason.

MLB authenticated for the regular-season. Tagged for the postseason where he was called up late he only had one set of alternate jerseys.

2005 Edgerrin James Colts Road Jersey - Colts LOA (Game Exclusives) - Worn against the NE Patriots on November 7, 2005 - Edge ran for 104 yds and a TD in the game and caught 3 passes for 9 yards - Last season Edge played for the Colts - Jersey has been laundered but there is a distinctive red/pink field paint mark on the right shoulder.

2004 Clinton Portis Washington Road Jersey - Worn against the CLE Browns on October 3, 2004 - Portis had a TD in the game - Portis' first season in Washington - Jersey is unlaundered and filthy with use (sorry for the poor quality of pics) - Numerous ways to photomatch it but the two dirt dots on the left shoulder are pretty distinctive.

Picked up a Jose Fernandez game used Strike out baseball from his rookie season. He used this baseball to strike out Tulo on July 23, 2013. He also beat them that game. Ball is from MLB and he signed it too. I'll have to do some research and see what career K number it was for Jose.
