Re: George Springer MLB Debut Jersey going for $5,000
This guy is not messing around. If the same guy balls all of them he is going to be around 35K. . I will be very interested to see how close Singleton gets to springers prices especially since he homered in his first at bat.
Re: George Springer MLB Debut Jersey going for $5,000
So if an unproven Prospect's stuff is raking in that kind of scratch, what does that make my Nolan Arenado stuff worth?
Debut Helmet (photo matched)
Rookie Year Camo Memorial Day hat (photo matched)
BOTH MLB Authenticated and obtained directly from the Rockies, plus other items...
And he is a proven stud - GG as a ROOKIE at 3rd base and 2nd in voting in the NL behind Tulo for the ASG...
Re: George Springer MLB Debut Jersey going for $5,000
If it was a team from a larger market I could understand to some extent but its mind blowing comming from a small market team who is known for being pretty bad at times. It has been said before but i guess it really comes down to the two same guys bidding against each other with a large bank roll. I dont understand why a team like the White Sox would not do this with Abreu especially after these auctions are done. Im glad they dont because it gives someone like myself with a modest budget a chance at obtaining his items but the amount of return they could get would be mind boggling. Especially after the start he has had.

"Small market" lol
Houston is the fourth largest city in the nation.
I think he was more referring to media market, not overall population. Houston isn't a small city obviously and I love how they have 1 road that runs the whole city so if you get lost you can still find your way back however, a media powerhouse it is not

Yeah, but it's still #10 in the nation. I think a lot of people underestimate Houston.
Re: George Springer MLB Debut Jersey going for $5,000
Im refering to the media market for baseball as well as the super low payroll. Im compairing them to the Yankees, Red Sox and Dodgers of the league. Crazy payrolls and stupid contracts. Being a large city with a huge population means nothing if seats are empty. Its like the White Sox, the place is empty unless they are winning. Im sure the 05' World Series lit up the ratings. Its my opinion but i wouldnt be suprised at all if Springer was a Yankee and his jerseys were going for 10K but in Houston thats a little crazy. Maybe it has to do with they have not had a guy come up in there system with this much hype in awhile.
