Re: Dealing with GU reps for ASG items

Just heard from my rep today that MLB sold the Cespedes jersey. No idea what amount it sold for.

I realize the one on MLB Auctions goes to charity but still...way too much $ already. Could buy one from Steiner for a lot less....

The All Star BP/ HR Derby Jerseys are starting to come in....
I wonder how the LockerTags will be displayed this year. When someone gets one in, please post. Thanks

Re: Dealing with GU reps for ASG items

Are the jerseys posted on MLB auction worn during derby/warmups, or only issued and signed? The posts are not clear and do not include the authentication number. MLB really couldn't handle ASG items any worse...

"The jerseys were autographed during the 2014 All-Star Week festivities and are MLB Authenticated These jerseys are not game-used and only autographed."

That's from the description on MLB auctions. They're basically just signed replica jerseys.

When they were first posted they were not in bold. They must have gotten alot of people asking the same question.

Do they consider the derby or practice a "game" though? Could have been used in those events and not be considered by MLB to be a "game". That message could be just warning they were not used in the ASG to morons.

Re: Dealing with GU reps for ASG items

Got my Aroldis Chapman ASG BP jersey yesterday from Highland Mint.

MLB hologram was placed directly the ASG property tag on bottom front of jersey which I thought was a little odd.

Also, here is what the hologram states in the database:

Hologram number HZ573215 was located in the MLB Authentication Database under GAME-USED JERSEY.
                    Session Product Description:
                    Session Name: 2014 ALL-STAR GAME
                    Session Date: July 15, 2014
                    Autographer:
                    Authenticator: AUTHENTICATORS, INC.
                    Additional Information: #54 AROLDIS CHAPMAN

Re: Dealing with GU reps for ASG items

Seriously, can they just sell these once and for all??? MLB just needs to cut out HM and throw them up for auction. Just got this today. I've told them I would pay $X for a jersey, but they just send me higher prices. If someone is offering a higher price then just sell it to them already!

It just seems there is so much unnecessary back and forth, HM offers you a price, you say a price, they say they gotta check with MLB, and then come back with a higher price etc. Just put them up for auction and we'll see what the highest price really is. Current system is not transparent at all.

With These prices Be glad you didn't get the Trout etc Prices sound crazy. For a batting practice Jersey or Home Run Derby jersey. I think I even read the word "investment" in a sentence. Ive got swamp land.........
