I'd love to get one of his #41 WS jerseys from 04. I know in 06 at the team fanfest they sold 2 home and a road. Probably sitting in the back of someone's closet in the STL area and were bought for very cheap. I've never seen one in public. 06 for that matter either.

There's a thread on GUU about it. Bought it on eBay in 2014 for about 6$ off a guy who didn't know anything about jerseys. Never looked at the tag back then cause I wasn't into game used stuff yet (just focused on collecting old russell and rawlings jerseys of every team). I was thinking it woukd look cool under my red sox jerseys. After joining forum and going through my stuff I decided to check the tagging and was shocked out of my mind. I emailed the seller , found out he buys stuff off shops in Florida which is where the Cards spring training is so that was a good sign. He wore this style jersey in game one. I'm still trying to figure out how to photo match it or confirm the number was written by him or clubhouse uniform guy. At least I know I didn't buy it as a fake cause buddy had no clue and I paid almost nothing

Yadi hoarder! I'd like to preside over the intervention if it ever happens.

Did a little photomatch work today. Picked this up at the WWU couple weeks ago. Has some good use as you can see the wear on the back. Lots of loose threads made it easy to match. Haven't checked the other playoff games yet.

So I tried my first major bat repair. Bat was shattered pretty good, and then he broke the handle off completely in frustration heading back to the dugout. Thanks to Jeff Scott of Birdbats for the help and supplies list. I'm no pro but pretty happy with the result. Thoughts?

On another interesting note, the jersey I posted below is also matched to this pic as well based on the loose threads. Bonus.

Great repair. How did you match the color? Ihadto do a repair on the Heyward I got. I'm going to post on it, but I forgot to take before repair pics. makes me mad. I'm always interested in repair details.

Here is your complete repair kit for do it yourselfers. Elmers Wood Glue, Elmers Wood Filler...comes in various colors. I got lucky as this one was a very close match. It's almost like drywall mud so you can work it with a wet finger. 150 grit sandpaper for the heavy work then work down to a 220. I found this little 220 sponge tool. Then 0000 steel wool for the fine work. Rawlings pine tar is a common one used and matched mine well. There is also the very red colored stuff called Tiger Stick. I use the 20 gauge needle to get the wood in the tiny cracks. You can put some in the needle or just dip it in the wood glue and insert the tip. Some various C-clamps 2 inch and 2.5 inch and a cheapo dremmel set. Also a wet rag to wipe off the excess when you clamp it down tight. The Molina repair was less than 2 hours work spread over 3 days. Not bad for a rookie and I know one pro repair guy would charge at least $200 for this bat. His work is flawless but I have about $20 in supplies here and can do dozens of bats with nothing else to buy.

Thanks for the repair details. Kit looks similar to mine. I didn't know the wood filler came in different colors.
