I wonder if this now opens the door for other players doing a logo or a graphic on their bat knob.
With most things in sports, once the door gets opened, then it is hard to close it. ---- Same thing happened with everyone wearing #42 for JRD, started small then, it became a league-wide thing to do. Also, pink bats on mother's day turned into pink accessory gear and even blue ribbons on Father's Day.
Interesting to think what some former players potentially could have had for possible stickers on their bat knob....
Andres Gallaraga - the face of the Black Cat Firweworks
Fred McGriff - McGruff the Crime Dog
Wade Boggs - Col. Sanders
Cal Ripken Jr. - Iron Man Mask
Ryne Sandberg - a Ryno face
Kevin McReynolds - Big Mac
From before stickers were used on bat knobs, I can recall the word MINE on many of Ron Kittle's bats, as well as Ron Blomberg drawing a Star of David on his.
