1975 John Scott/Don Hahn Road. Definitely the color scheme I'd love to see the Padres return to.

Boarding Pequod, I once again hit the seas to hunt down my next conquest . . . . a 1979 Padres Road.

I will sell you dirty jerseys. Maybe not too many this year, but I will get you some for years to come.

Free agency was more predictable back then. Garvey's aspirations led to the fact he was going to sign on the west coast. Angels had no interest which left the Padres. One thing that hasn't changed though is how agents always seem to find that "other team" to start the "bidding war".

People don't remember the hoopla over San Diego's signing of Garvey or that he was, possibly, headed to the Cubs prior to signing.

With the Grav's post career trials and tribulations, people also forget he was one of the clutch players of his era. Disappointed he and Dale Murphy never really gained HOF consideration. The Gil Hodges of his generation?

Posted this in the June pick ups thread, but I'll add some photos here also.

1992/93 Tim Teufel Worth model WC117 game used bat, signed by Teufel, Andy Benes and Phil Plantier.

2016 Derek Norris Blueberry . . . Photo-matched to him walking around, not hitting, as was his custom with the Padres.

    1989 Alomar.
Glad they added the "S". Wasn't sure if it was Senior, Junior or Roberto.
