Re: April 2015 Pickups
Jim Thome, Eddie Murray, Dave Winfield, and Lenny Dykstra game used bats. Dykstra was from the Tidewater Tides in '85.

Re: April 2015 Pickups
Headed to the Louisville Slugger factory over spring break and anyone who has been there knows they have a massive pile of "error" bats in the gift shop. I thought all of them were just retail type bats, but at the bottom sticking out was one with a name plate. After nearly knocking all the bats over I pulled out a Quentin Berry bat intended for the 2012 World Series. Not anything special, but very unique being tied to the world series.
I am no expert but I assume this was indeed intended for him(everything looks right)...until the burning machine had a seizure that is.

Re: April 2015 Pickups
Picked up a few bats from Lance Berkman's final MLB season. The Ash Bat is photomatched and I have a likely match on the older-style maple bat.
Looking to keep adding Berkman items, especially Cardinals or Yankees items, m9 bats (Astros, Yankees, or Cardinals), or fielding gloves.

Thanks so much for the kind words. Shoe technology has come so far since Weapons came out! Shies were so heavy and clunkier back then. Ah, perspectives from getting older....Leave a comment:

Re: April 2015 Pickups
Awesome shoes. Still have my early 80's converse from rec ball days. I like that box. I sold some Maize and Blue 85 Nike dunks about 15 years ago to a guy in Japan. $500 I think. Not a shoe collector though.Leave a comment:

Re: April 2015 Pickups
I am pretty happy with these unused, Larry Bird Converse Weapon game shoes, likely sent to Larry during ether the 85-86 or 86-87 season. The Weapons he wore during 88 season had an extra rubber support on the back heel, which you can see is not present on these. What I find really cool is that they came with the original box (Bird's name is written on the side). I love 1980's NBA shoes and have not seen a lot with the original box (mine is in pretty rough shape).
Joe, do you collect 80s NBA? Celts? Can you please email me?
