My bad, i was thinking of a different hat which the label is tore out of. Everything you are saying sounds right so it may have likely been Dick Selma. The auction said hats 1980's and after but the whole time i thought it seemed older.

Thanks...the wilson tag appears to have been torn out of the hat, so it may not have been same one. I also have this one listed as a total crap shoot.

I believe I owned your blank hat a couple of years back. If its the one I owned, it should have the wilson code on the inside of the band dating it to that time period. I was told it belonged to Dick Selma who played 1970-73 for the Phillies. I am also the ebayer who had a question on the availability of one of your hats from a hat lot auction. What year did the Phillies wear a blank hat? i purchased this from a Huggins lot and am trying to figure out who wore it. #39 is marked on brim.
