Some of you may recall last month that I showed the jersey's that the NYPL Aberdeen Ironbirds were wearing on 09/02 to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of Cal Ripken Jr. surpassing Lou Gehrig for the most consecutive games played.
They held a silent auction during the game for the jerseys worn that evening and I targeted the jersey of hitting coach Calvin Pickering, because he was the only person in uniform who actually was a teammate of Cal Ripken. Not to mention at size 54, this is easily the largest jersey I own.
After washing them and having Cal sign them all, it finally arrived yesterday:
That Ripken jersey is just awesome! Were they also signed by the player who wore them?
Just picked up a pair of Harper game used rookie season cleats. I photo match them but not sure how to put the photos on here so if you are interested in seeing them email me at kalepg2456@gmail.com
One-of-a-kind game-worn Eric Staal captain's jersey from the Carolina Hurricanes Rod Brind'Amour night. This was worn for the full game and actually shows wear. Pretty cool to be the captain's jersey from the night that recognized the player from whom he inherited the C.
Just acquired a nice White Sox home BP worn by Vance Law from the 1983 Winning Ugly AL West Champs White Sox. It's dated to 1983 based on the supplier (Roman Sports) and the style, as the 1982 BP unis were made by Sand-Knit. Thanks, Joe!
