Yes, I am the one that sold the referenced Gomes MAX bat on ebay early in the 2006 season. It was an amazing bat in every sense and like Camaro says I was able to photomatch it. Bat was obtained by me directly from Jonny and would have made a great addition to my bat collection except for one minor flaw...

That is SOOO Funny , I think I'm Phsycic (or phsyco)(how do you do spell check on this damn forum)????? earlier today I was thinking just before I clicked on submit for these pictures " I wonder if the guy that took these photo's is going to see this " .... and sure enough.... were you shocked to those pictures listed???????....funny thing about it is ..... I didn't think about the buyer??? are you out there????sell the bat???? I say 200$ and you ship now US Mail!!!! and that's generous since he pretty much sucked cockroach baseballs after april 2006 !!!!!!????

I know he has bid on other Gomes GU items (a pair of batting gloves, maybe others as well), and I presume collects Francoeur---very generous price as you said, considering that I just picked up a jersey for $115.

Here are pictures of the Gomes Big Stick I just won.Model number is M433b,made in '03...I know Gomes played in just 8 games with the Rays in '03,so it could be a Minor League bat.
Interestingly though,I found an image on an '04 signature card (see attatchment-you may have to save the pic to your documents so you can zoom on the bat) that gives a date of April 6,2004 in which Gomes is using a bat that looks VERY similar to this one (even some of the marks and light spots on the bottom of the barrel).I wouldn't call it a photo match as it's probably inconclusive at best,but would Gomes have carried over an '03 bat into '04?

Very nice bat Joe . Tons of use . Very likely a 03 bat could be used in 04 . Whats the order number stamped in the knob? The higher the order number, the later in 03 Jonny would've received it. I'm sure you already knew that . Did you get it on ebay? How did I miss it??????

maybe the card company screwed up with date , cause his first series was in September 12,13, & 14, 2003 against the Yankees . Gomes went 2 for 3 his first game .

The two 2008 bats have black dots on the handles, as MLB required this to be done to maple bats. Did that apply only to MLB players, however, or MiLB? Both of these bats were acquired by the seller at Durham, but the timeframe allows for them to have been used at Tampa as well,

I think it is mainly mota, may be some pine tar mixed in. The black stuff on the DBat may be the same stuff McGriff put on his bats????

Here's the end of my 05 SAM Bat. Same batch as yours, but for some reason it is 31.9 oz, not 31.5oz. Seems an oddly specific measurement (I weighed it myself, and it's just a shade over 32oz), and it's strange that it would differ from one of the same batch.

Here's my latest. Really happy with the 2002 bat; the earliest I've seen, and with a really nice early signature. The 2008 Bat is also fun, coming directly from the team and with the MLB holo. I can't find any images online from that game, so MLB TV might be my only avenue to try to find a photomatch, should I ever break down and subscribe.
