Thinking the same thing. Still wondering how it is determined game worn. Ebay seller Gab91 sold it on consignment and stated it showed no hit marks on it and thought it was game worn because of the tagging style. Also listed it as game issued, game ready. Could have been worn by the person who wrote the bad autograph....who knows. It is what it is for now.

Updating this jersey. Troy believes this Marcus Allen jersey is in the same condition as when the consignor purchased it on Ebay. He acknowledged the autograph on the back being removed. He doesn't believe it was washed while the consignor had it, stating the creases in the numbers match up. But he is checking with him for further information. And so it was graded accordingly.

It sure looks the same - minus that bogus autograph.

Collecting Raiders from that time period is my main focus. I have had several discussions with Raider collectors on just where did all the legit Game used Marcus' go to ?? Plenty of other players jerseys made it out the door but really hard to explain.

This jersey in Mears looks to me like a nice GI jersey from Marcus' early years.

Hard to say - I think any dry cleaner could remove that faded ball point (as I recall) sig without much trouble.

I wonder why no mention of a signature being removed in Mears auction ?

If the consignor was the one who removed it I wonder if he washed it ? That would create the look of more use would it not ?
