There is a problem with baseball reference today according to their twitter. They have to fix their database.

same for me, kind of. when i searched david ortiz's career doubles, it showed every year but 2016 (was able to go through the game logs for 2016 and it was an accurate accounting through 2015). when i searched eric hosmers's career doubles, it only showed me 2016. it also told me hosmer had no home runs this year, which is obviously incorrect.

    Baseball-reference.com

    Player name

"Standard Batting Tab" you'll see a drop down menu that says FINDERS
click EVENT.......on the drop down menu select if you want hit, single, double, hr, etc, and year or full career. It will search for you and bring up every "hit". Scroll down to the date of your ball and it will tell you the career number on the far left column.

    Hope this helps

    Baseball-reference.com

    Player name

    Game logs ( year)

Find date of game, click on game # on left side to see career hits, rbis, etc... through that game.

Click on the game date to see each at bat for that game.

How Do You Find Out The Hit #?

how do you guys figure out what career hit # any given hit was? i see many people posting about hit balls they have from a player and the career hit number it was. where do i go to find that information? further, if for example the hit was a double, how would i find out what career double # it is? thanks for your help.
