Re: Thoughts on value of game used ball from Ichiro's 3000 hit game at Coors Field?
Just for the sake of transparency, I'm the one who sold the ball, so this is not for any kind of self promotion. I'm curious on all your opinions on the state of the market. I originally got it to keep since I was at the game, but I had just purchased a pretty expensive bat from one of my favorite players and this ended up paying for it, so I let it go.
Looking forward to opinions on this one...

Thoughts on value of game used ball from Ichiro's 3000 hit game at Coors Field?
This was a conversation I've had recently with some friends who were all at the game and I'm curious on the groups opinions on the topic?
A ball not hit or pitched to Ichiro. Any ball he hit into play was immediately thrown back to the dugout and its my understanding that those all went to MLB, HOF & Ichiro.
Only one hologrammed ball was sold in a public manner so far and it was done via auction at the game the next day in Colorado via the MLB ballpark app. As a result, it had very limited visibility and went for about $260 which I'd guess is way below market value. That ball was resold for $1250 via private sale to a collector.
Now two more balls are being sold by the Rockies via MLB Auctions with starting bids of $500 each.
With those details stated, what do you guys think?Tags: None
