Re: October 2016 Pickups
I picked up a hammered 2005 Pujols jersey. There are sweat stains, pilling, you name it. Signed perfect in silver pen on the back "5". I have photomatched it to several homeruns during the first half of the season. Below are some of my favorite shots. This jersey appears in countless games on getty....clearly one of alberts favorites from the season. No doubt one of my favorite pick ups.Comment

Re: October 2016 Pickups
The Cardinals items this month are ridiculous! Here are a few more...
1. 2010 David Freese: Uncracked, heavy use, dates to early 2010 due to presence of tape on handle.
2. 2013 Adam Wainwright: Uncracked, moderate use, photomatched to the 8th inning of Game 5 of the 2013 NLDS. Adam pitched a complete game for the first and only time during the playoffs, allowing only one run. This bat was used in Adam's best overall playoff performance.
3. 2011 Matt Holliday: Uncracked, heavy use, dates to late 2011 when Matt used these unfinished LVS bats a handful of times.
4. 2013 Adron Chambers: Uncracked, heavy use, issued for the 2013 World Series. Adron was not selected for the 2013 World Series roster, but was with the team and likely took batting practice using this bat.Collecting Cardinals jerseys and bats, with a focus on Yadier Molina, Matt Holliday, and Adam Wainwright.

Re: October 2016 Pickups
And just like that, I've added another bat to my 1922 St. Louis Browns collection -- a 1922-25 Jack Tobin. Less than six months after starting my quest to find the starting eight, I'm halfway there. Wally Gerber, Marty McManus, Jack Tobin and Ken Williams down... George Sisler, Baby Doll Jacobson, Hank Severeid and Frank Ellerbe to go.
