Re: May 2017 Pickups
Yes, admit that is my concern too. If it was guaranteed I could get the smooth variety, less shaky, then I would do it. But I wouldn't want that to ruin an item like this...plus, if I have to navigate the whole send-in process with Steiner just to get it done, I would probably be completely anxiety ridden too.Leave a comment:

Re: May 2017 Pickups
'57-'58 Hank Aaron bat - MVP and WS Champs era
An early Milwaukee Braves bat, and it is proving tough to find any of Hank's bats from the 1950s era, especially in higher quality. This is the third of the big three I got here lately, a fresh to the hobby bat. It has terrific barrel use, great patina, cleat marks and a nice, faded 44 on the knob as well. I appreciate JD giving me a shot at acquiring this one for my collection.
Henry won the MVP in '57, hitting .322 and clubbing 44 home runs and knocking in 132 RBIs, while also leading Milwaukee to the World Series Title in 7 games over the Yankees. In '58, he put up a .326, 30 home run and 95 RBI line in leading the Braves back to the WS, where they lost this time in 7 to NY.

Hey it's cool. You now possess actual player DNA! Talk about photomatching at the highest level of evidence. So the pee doesn't phase me; I just hope that's pine tar we're dealing with.Leave a comment:
