Need help with 1990 Dave Meggett NY Giants Game Worn Jersey

Was wondering if there was anybody out there familiar with New York Giants jerseys circa 1990. I recently was able to purchase a "Game Worn" Dave Meggett jersey. After doing some research, as much as I could, I was able to identify that the jersey had the correct tagging, however, it was missing the "90" tag that generally is to the left of the "Gerry Cosby Designed and Tailored Exclusively for the New York Giants" that I've seen on a lot of Giants jerseys from this year/period. With a lot of jerseys that I've seen while researching this jersey, the tagging had been removed. I was wondering if I got scammed. I don't feel really bad, because I was able to get the jersey for a very reasonable price. It's sort of a low risk, high reward thing for me. The jersey was supposedly purchased at a Halifax Celebrity Auction.

I know that Jim Yackyl is very familiar with these jerseys, so if he posts here, I'm sure he could clear it up for me. Here are some pics of the jersey:

Hi Big Dice,
I was out of town at the NBA All-Star Game and just read this thread. I think I can help.

MeiGray marketed a collection of NY Giants jerseys from 1989-1996 acquired in late 1997 directly from the team.

All jerseys we acquired from the team had year tags next to the Cosby tags. Some year tags were missing, but there was evidence they were there.
