Bret Saberhagen at bat during Game 7 of the 1985 World Series versus the Cardinals. He's wearing Hal McRae's batting helmet.

Thought this was interesting. Astros Bullpen Catcher Javier Bracamonte using a Kaz Matsui glove . . . with pink Mother's Day Ribbon added. This will likely show up as "game used" at some point . . .

I've noticed that often when a player is injured fairly early in the season and is done for the year, his bats seem to go up for grabs. One year I recall Danny Bautista had a serious shoulder injury and lost the whole last half of the season, and it seemed like everybody was swinging one of his bats, which I could tell a mile off from the distinctive tape job; I even saw Randy Johnson take one to the plate a few times. Last year, it was the same with Stephen Drew; I even saw one of Drew's bats in prospect Wagner Mateo's bag during the Arizona Summer League.

Seems like nobody wanted to use their bats today at the Braves-Marlins game:

Jason Heyward using a Jack Wilson bat:

Michael Bourn also using a Jack Wilson bat:

Brian McCann using a Nate McLouth bat:

Randall Delgado using a Martin Prado bat, but it appears that he put his number "40" on the knob

Not sure whose bat Emilio Bonafacio is using, but the last name is defnitely Martinez:

Omar Infante was using a Gaby Sanchez bat:

Over 20 years ago, I owned a H&B Mc44 Willie McCovey bat...used by Fred Kendall.

What model is this new bat?

Or perhaps it was a totally clean jersey-to-jersey exchange.

A-Bat makes (or maybe just sells) something to help remove it. Maybe you used it, and I'm not sure how it works. http://www.promaplebats.com/Store/ta...0/Default.aspx

On another note, that is a very cool picture.

These are all cool pictures, but the almost live photo from the factory floor is especially wonderful. Thanks guys.
