i have a spalding wagon tongue black end bat no.000 . I have seen no others like it. Thier is nothing about a patent on it at all, and the black end is flat rather than being rounded off i think it may be from 1889 but i was wondering why it was differant than the others and would maybe like to sell it and whats it worth you think ? ty sean

thank you for the links : ) you wouldnt have any idea why this bat doesnt say patent pending on it or any sort of a patent number ? do ya think it would have been made prior to or if it was used by a league they wouldnt put that on their ty seanComment

Sean I am not certain on the Patents but if you google it you can find there have been a few model numbered 000 out there.
Most likely it is a vintage store model bat.
Unless you can find any specific markings on it to tell you otherwise.Comment

does anyone know why an early i think 1889 wagon tongue bat says nothing about a patent at all when all the ones ive seen say patent applied for would the one without be more rare? and hold more value its 34 1/4 inches and in excellent shape im trying to figure out its value but am having a heck of a time ty.Comment
