I'd love a trip to the National and seeing the number retirement ceremony sounds like a blast.

Hey, there, Jetsfan, if you get time, shoot me an email. I have a teacher question for you!

Whoever is going to the national, make sure to post your observations. I have never been to a national and I'd love to know anything about the "game used" end of it.

Take lots of pics. Talk to some dealers and auction houses. Ask some questions. Seems like a great place to get info and feel out the state of the hobby.
Always looking for game used San Diego Chargers items...

Yes, if anyone feels the need , I would be very curious about the status of game-used stuff (particularly jerseys). I'm debating travelling from Lansing, MI on Saturday.

Just wanted to publically thank Vince Malta for helping provide info on a Ted Kluzewski bat I was thinking about buying at the National Wednesday. After talking about the bat and showing me Klu's shipping records on his computer, Vince walked with me to the booth offering the bat, and told me why it wasn't a bat that Klu used.

A big thanks to Vince! I hope you get to see his Giants eventually win a World Series.

While some of the big shows in Rosemont and nearby Schaumburg have dropped in quality in recent years, the National is still an event in the hobby. Its size is overwhelming and there was lots of good stuff to be had. On the game-used front, you could find some decent items here and there, but these days you're going to find most game-used items offered in auctions.
