Re: OT:gas prices going up=collecting going down
$3.91 here in Central Florida. I'm a lot like Dan - I have a very short commute and drive a small car. You guys with your Expeditions and Hummers need to downsize!
It has not affected my collecting. Any money I earn in overtime is still mine to spend any way I like.Comment

Re: OT:gas prices going up=collecting going down
$3.93 a gallon in Central Ohio earlier today.
It's actually positively affected my collecting. More people are getting rid of some items due to their financial state and I'm getting some awesome additions in the process.
Moving a few months ago and shaving my normal commute down to less than 3 miles helps as well.Looking for Duane Kuiper home run baseballsComment

Re: OT:gas prices going up=collecting going down
The good news: if I don't push it too hard, I can get almost 30 mpg out of my '95 Integra.
The bad news: it requires premium unleaded, at over $4 per gallon!

Re: OT:gas prices going up=collecting going down
It was $3.99 here in Bar Harbor today after comming down from $4.03 a day or two ago.
Where I work is offering a bonus of a $10 gas card for every 2 hours of overtime you work. The drawback is that they bought them from the MOST expensive gas station in the area, but it is free gas. My wife and I have about $300 worth in the glove compartment.
I don't go far, so gas is not too big an issue with us. But we are saving for a trip to NY City next month. We are pinching pennies so I can spend more at Fanfest.Comment
