    OT - Tim Russert

I am sure you all know that Tim Russert passed away on Father's Day Weekend so our hearts go out to his son Luke and his wife.

Most of you knew Tim Russert from Meet The Press and appearances on NBC News Shows and Specials.

In Washington baseball, we knew Tim as a baseball guy and a big Nats fan. He will be missed!

The official website of the Washington Nationals with the most up-to-date information on news, tickets, schedule, stadium, roster, rumors, scores, and stats.

Friend and Sunday morning news show rival Bob Schieffer of CBS recalled on MSNBC a recent story about the two. "Tim and I, in addition to being head-to-head competitors, had become very close friends, oddly enough, over the years. Tim just loved news. He loved politics most of all. It was infectious. We had seats at the Nationals ballpark. Our seats were next to each other so we saw each other a lot at the ballgames. He was a great baseball fan, but he said, 'Can you believe this campaign we're all about to cover!' I mean, he was like a kid at Christmas."

Great post....Tim was a great newsman and a huge Nationals fan. I met him at a game a couple years ago with his son Luke. He couldn't have been a nicer guy and had a passion for his work (and baseball). He will be missed.

I remember Charlie Jones being one of the TV announcers for the Orioles in '88 when they started the season 0-21.....

I haven't stopped thinking about Tim Russert for 24 hours now.

Hold on to the ones you love, life is fragile.

Charlie Jones was one of the greatest voices of a generation.

Because of Andrew of AllStarsPlus.com, I was able to meet Mr. Russert at RFK Stadium last season.

Tim was from Buffalo and always pimped the Bills when ever he could, even on his TV show. Some here called him the most famous Bills fan they could think of.

He will truley be missed here in Upstate NY!!!!
