Don't feel bad, 'cuz you're not alone today. I had one of my grails slip through my fingers, too.
Without going into too much detail, the seller listed it incorrectly at around 4 AM. It was snatched up quickly by a friend of mine before I ever even saw it.......for next to nothing.

I was overwhelmed with the enormity or a deal early in the year. I foolishly let 3 pieces go away that I regret. One to a friend with like interest, so I'll likely never see, and the other 2 to another gentleman who may or may not sell - but who knows. Bottom line here folks, we can't have it all. There will always be pieces that slip away, always regrets. Such is life. Not a day goes by I don't have regrets of some kind!! My wife probably thinks the same thing but for different reasons!!

While not my Holy Grail, I was watching a bat this week on ebay and was going to pick it up as an investment. It had no bids until 10 minutes before the auction. I had my snipe bid set and it fired perfectly but I ended up falling short by about $2.50. That's ok though, as I set my bid at the highest that I was willing to pay. Someone was willing to pay more. It happens.....

Weird thing is it is listed by the same seller as last time????? Dewey2007 are you getta29?? Seems fishy since it was ended early last time but relisted by same seller??

He had multiple Blum SD Padre bats too (one of which I bought) so he must have had a couple of this model as well. Good luck!

FYI to anyone who cares...

I bought the first Blum Hickory bat off eBay. It completed my 2005 White Sox position player collection. Since it didn't have a team name on the bat, I figured it was the next best thing to finding a White Sox Louisville Slugger model.

The seller told me he acquired it at spring training of 2006. Theoretically, it could have been left over from Blum's 2005 stash of bats. Even if it wasn't, I figure it's as close to a 2005 model as I'm going to get, at least for a long while.
