My greatest interest is, and always will be, in Diamondbacks items, mainly bats...but if I really like and admire a DBacks player, I'll also go after his bats, occasionally a jersey, from teams he played on prior to, and sometimes even after his DBacks service.

Luis Gonzalez, for example - I have seven of his Diamondbacks bats, but I've also picked up, over the years, two Astros, three Cubs, one Detroit, two Dodgers, and a Marlins...bats, in other words, from every Major League team he's played on. With players that I'm not particularly enamored of, or who only played for us very briefly, I would be less likely to do something like that.

99% of the time, I wouldn't go near a Michigan or USC item. There has been one exception - I got my hands on one of the USC Heisman trophy winner signed footballs, back when I was contemplating collecting one for each school. But then when I touched the football, I got a severe allergic reaction and sold it immediately - must have been that ugly USC logo.

They were favorite players of mine in the 80's so I wanted to have bats of them for my collection although they don't necessarily "fit". It was more of a nostalgia thing for me. I say collect whatever you want as long it makes you happy!!

Dewey can you post pics of your Strawberry bats or email me pics of them.
          Thank you.

Well im a huge yankee fan also and for some reason in my collection i have more game used items of others players from other teams. Two of my best items come from teams that the yankees are rivals with, Jose Reyes 2007 game worn jersey and a Jason Bay game used red sox bat used to hit 3 homeruns(Don't worry i still hate everything to do with Boston).

But my number one item is a yankee item, 1926 yankee team signed ball with Ruth,Gehrig,Lazzeri and a very faded Millar Huggins.
