Anyone ever have success removing an autograph from the twill number area of a jersey? If so plmk, it's black sharpie on a white number if that makes any difference. The autograph is on a basketball jersey I won at a charity auction and it makes the jersey look bad since it's such a small and shortened signature. Thanks for any advice

Here is a picture of the jersey, its Andrew Boguts game used road jersey from last season, with the autograph, sucks since Milwaukee doesnt let jerseys get out too often, wish Andrew would have signed it better

Re: Removing an autograph from twill number....
Next time you meet him, maybe you could have him finish the signature. Maybe have him add his jersey number and something like "gameworn" and the year/date it was worn. Thats a pretty weak autograph.Comment

Re: Removing an autograph from twill number....
that pretty par for the course as far as his autograph goes recently, his signature used to look a lot better his first two seasons, on the 11th I am hopefully going to meet him and have him inscribe it at least.Comment

Re: Removing an autograph from twill number....
I had some luck in removing a unwanted auto from a Yankees home jersey. I took the jersey down to my local dry cleaner and had them try to remove it. The auto yellowed a little but was not very noticeable.Comment

Re: Removing an autograph from twill number....
I used a product once on an authentic jersey to remove Sharpie residue (smudges) from the autograph field, also a signature that ran from moisture, and it worked GREAT, except I have not been able to locate it anywhere since (about 4-5 years ago). It's call Ink-Away, and it is the ONLY thing that I had luck with. Just dribble it on and blot away. It removed Sharpie ink completely. Try to find it though.Comment

Re: Removing an autograph from twill number....
I CAN GET THAT OFF. IF THATS REAL TACKLE TWILL, NOT ONE OF THOSE CHEAP KNOCK OFFS YOU BUY ON EBAY.
I OWN A SILKSCREEN BUSINESS AND REMOVE INK ALL DAY. I HAVE A CHEMICAL AND A SPECIAL MADE GUN THAT WILL GET IT OFF.
I HAVE REMOVE SEVERAL AUTOGRAPHS FROM JERSEY NUMBERS. SOMETIMES THE CHEAP KNOCK OFFS , THE TACKLE TWILL THEY USE IS SOOOOOO THIN AND CHEAP THAT AFTER IF COMES OFF IT WILL BUFF ALITTLE . BUT EVEN THEN I HEAT PRESS IT BACK DOWN.
BUT LET ME KNOW IF I CAN HELP YOU.
THANKS .
