The Japan Bowl was an annual college all-star game played in Yokohama throughout most of the '80s (if not a little earlier/little later). "East" and "West" teams faced off against each other. Familiar names such as Doug Flutie, Tim Brown, Mike Tomczak, Al Toon, etc. participated.

Does anybody know the history of the Japan Bowl.

I have this jersey and I am trying to figure out some background.

Google has provided me with little help.

Any help would be appreciated.
