The ironic thing about that day was that for Christmas that year, I got the Barry Halper VHS tape about his collection (with Billy Martin)....I watched the tape for the first time that night and the next morning I wake up to the news that he had been killed in a car accident (I think there is still a dispute who was driving).

With the 20th anniversary of Billy Martin's death on Christmas coming up, I thought it might be nice for us to share any Billy Martin items we may have. For those of us who remember, he was certainly one of a kind, with a style far absent from today’s game. Thanks for the memories.

Sorry for the blur/reflections, but I took these while still in the frame.

    A young Billy, ex-Halper Collection.

Early 1980's Oakland A's signed team ball with Billy on the sweet spot.
